Last week I traveled to Salt Lake City, UT on a business trip. Some of you may know that I work as a genetic counselor for a laboratory based in SLC. Our laboratory primarily works with children who have medical conditions affecting childhood development. In honor of April being Autism awareness month, our company is having an internal challenge to see which department is able to raise the most money to benefit a local organization called Matt's Place. This charity helps families in SLC who have a child that has social or behavioral struggles or is on the Autism spectrum.
I decided to offer portraits to some of my co-workers with the majority of the proceeds going towards this organization. I'm proud to say that all of these families were very generous with their donations and DBP will be able to donate over $330 to Matt's Place! Here are a few of my favorites from the evening I was able to spend with some really fantastic people. Thank you to everyone who participated!
